The scholarship program at Horizon International Bilingual School intends to provide students with financial support for their further education as well as a reward for their achievements and efforts.

Those students who receive scholarships will have exemplary character and will share the values of our school community. These students will exhibit qualities such as integrity, leadership, initiative, care and compassion for others, and personal responsibility.

Annual scholarships offered by Horizon International Bilingual School are a one-time gift for outstanding achievements in CAIE examinations.

Scholarship Categories

Horizon International Bilingual School offers a number of scholarships each year to the following students who are going to continue their studies at the Horizon International Bilingual School:

  • Grade 5 (Year 6) students who scored 50 in English, Mathematics and/or Science in Primary Checkpoint Exams.
  • Grade 8 (Year 9) students who scored 50 in English, Mathematics and/or Science in Lower Secondary Checkpoint Exams.
  • Grade 10 (Year 11) students who scored B/A/A* in IGCSE subject examinations.
  • Grade 11 (Year 12) students who scored B/A/A* in AS-level examinations.
  • Grade 12 (Year 13) students who scored B/A/A* in A2/A level examinations.
  • Students awarded The Cambridge “TOP IN COUNTRY”
  • Students awarded The Cambridge “TOP IN THE WORLD” 

Lower Secondary Checkpoint (Grade 8)

Horizon offers Cambridge Checkpoint assessments in English, Mathematics, and Science to evaluate student progress at the end of primary and lower secondary stages.

  • Students achieving 50 in any subject receive a $300 scholarship per subject.
  • Students achieving 50 in all three subjects receive a $1000 scholarship (no additional subject rewards).
  • Awards are applied as a tuition fee reduction in Semester 2 of the following academic year.

IGCSE Scholarships (Grade 10)

Cambridge IGCSE is a globally recognized qualification that supports progression to higher education.

  • $100 per subject for grades B
  • $500 per subject for grades A or A*
  • $3000 for achieving A/A in 5 subjects* (no additional rewards)
  • Additional awards:

- Top in Country: $1000

- Top in the World: $3000

Scholarships are deducted from Semester 2 tuition fees of the following academic year. Students taking exams in Grade 9 receive awards in Grade 11. October/November series awards are subject to school discretion.

AS Level Scholarships (Grade 11)

  • $100 per subject for grade B
  • $500 per subject for A or A* (doubled for two subjects)
  • $3000 for A/A in 3 subjects* (no additional rewards)
  • Additional awards:

- Top in Country: $1000

- Top in the World: $3000

Scholarships are applied to Semester 2 tuition fees of the following academic year.

A2 Level Scholarships (Grade 12)

  • $100 per subject for grade B
  • $500 per subject for A or A* (doubled for two subjects)
  • $3000 for A/A in 3 subjects* (no additional rewards)
  • Additional awards:

- Top in Country: $1000

- Top in the World: $3000

Scholarships are paid in cash (VND) upon graduation.

General Rules

Scholarships are for students continuing at Horizon (including transfer students who meet criteria).

Students must maintain strong academic performance, discipline, and attendance.

Scholarships may be withdrawn for:

  • Poor academic results (below average 80)
  • Excessive absences (over 20 days)
  • Disciplinary issues or suspension

All awards are subject to School Board approval, and policies may be updated at the school’s discretion.
