In a pretty weather one afternoon. People's life is peaceful and quiet. No one could think that, right here in this land, in just 10 days ago the historic flood came and destroyed everything here.

After dinner, we talked to a taxi driver on the way back to the hotel. He said: “what a year huh? Covid 19 was effected a lot to everyone life then the flood came took a way basically everything in one night. The flood came quickly and was also devastating. Van Hoa Commune is one of the communes most severely affected. In the past, the cultural commune was like an oasis that no one knew. In recent years, thanks to the bridge over the river, so it is easier to navigate, social networks are also developing so new information can reach many people. Our Horizon School Boards from two campuses, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, delivered on behalf of students' parents as well as all teachers and staff. We delivered 350 gifts including food, blankets worth 200,000,000 VND to the community. This is the sweet sharing heart brought by the Horizon family to people in floodplains. Hopefully, it will help some of the losses that the people here have to suffer. Hope that the people here will overcome difficulties to stabilize their lives.

This is a very meaningful job that shows the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the Vietnamese people through many years of history. The school would like to extend our sincere thanks to the people that have shared and supported the people here.

Poet To Huu once said, "Sống là cho, đâu chỉ nhận riêng mình” is indeed true. Somewhere today a little friend is curled up in a warm blanket that comes from the sweet hearts of the students of Horizon. That is the joy of the recipients and also the happiness of the giver.
