Curriculum and Instructions

The main philosophy of Horizon International Bilingual School is to ensure effective curriculum implementation around its mission, vision and values. This philosophy is also shaped based on 21st century expectations as well as meaningful definition of effective learning.
Vietnamese curriculum has been revised and students in Bilingual programme will have access to enriched international and modern resources. Planning and preparation process will be based on high quality methodologies, assessment practices, and technology tools.
As a result of this approach, students will also be prepared for international qualifications such as Cambridge Advanced Diploma, International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and IELTS exams while they are studying Vietnamese curriculum without losing their right to study in Vietnamese Universities.
Instructions will be both in Vietnamese and English languages. The ratio is adjusted according to the regulations and law provided by Ministry of Education of Vietnam. Considering overall approach to curriculum such as Core Programme as well as ECA activities, English language instruction constitutes 60% and Vietnamese language instruction constitutes 40% of scheduled timetable.
The number of periods has been adjusted to meet the minimum requirements of Ministry of Education.
