1st Professional Development Programme for Teaching Staff

HCMC Sec-High On Saturday the 9th of October, Horizon (HCMC Secondary and High school campus) teachers attended the 1st professional development programme of the year which was held online.
On Saturday the 9th of October, Horizon (HCMC Secondary and High school campus) teachers attended the 1st professional development programme of the year which was held online.
It started with the session on effective usage of Google applications in education delivered by Mr.Pulatov, ICT teacher at Horizon.
In the following session, foreign teachers discussed the NGRT test reports that show the level of sentence completion and paragraph comprehension skills of students in English. This session was especially helpful for teachers to understand the level of English skills of students and prepare lessons according to students’ needs.
Another inspiring session was delivered by Mr.Delizo focusing on “Effective online lesson” where he shared various activities and online platforms that may help teachers to design their online classes more eye-catching and efficient. He also explained the main drawbacks of online teaching and the ways to resolve them.
The day finished with the session on the Atlas Next program, a newly implemented learning management system, where the teachers were shown the key features of the program and how to use these features more effectively. The next professional development workshop will be organized in November.
