Curious minds. Caring hearts. Confident learners.

Horizon International School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Our Primary Programme is built around inquiry: children ask real questions, investigate them across subjects, and take action on what they learn.

Learning is organized into transdisciplinary units of inquiry — big, open questions about who we are, how the world works, and how we share the planet. Within them, students build strong literacy, numeracy and scientific understanding, supported by the academic rigor of the Cambridge Primary framework as we transition into the PYP. The result is depth as well as breadth: children who can read, calculate and reason with confidence, and who understand why it matters.

Every class has a dedicated homeroom teacher who knows each child personally and guides both learning and wellbeing. Small class sizes make this possible. In our boutique setting, teachers can adapt to each learner, nurture independence, and help every child develop the attributes of the IB Learner Profile — inquirers, thinkers, communicators, principled, caring, and open-minded.

Beyond the classroom, students explore visual arts, music, drama and athletics, discovering talents and building confidence. Physical education develops coordination, motor skills and healthy habits. Social-emotional learning runs through every day, helping children communicate clearly, build friendships and show empathy in our diverse international community.

Language is central. Students develop strong English proficiency while their home languages and cultural identities are valued and celebrated — the foundation of genuine international-mindedness.

The Horizon Primary years are about joyful learning and whole-child development: compassionate friends, creative thinkers, and children who love coming to school each day.
